Credit Account Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms apply to all goods and services supplied on credit by R. M. Jones (Farmcentre) LLP. By ordering on a credit account, you agree to these terms unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Prices & Payment

1. Prices
Prices may change without prior notice. When we receive your order we will do our best to supply at the price quoted, but we reserve the right to invoice at the price in force on the date of collection or despatch.

2. Payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due by the 20th of the month following the month of invoice.

3. Discounts and credit surcharges
Any discount or credit surcharge allowance applies only if payment is received by the due date.

4. Allocation of payments
Payments received will always be credited against the oldest outstanding balance on your account. Discount cannot be allowed on later purchases while earlier balances remain outstanding.

5. Late payment
We reserve the right to charge interest of 1.5% per month, compounded, on any account not paid by the due date.

VAT

6. VAT is added to invoices at the rate in force on the date of collection or despatch.

Delivery & Force Majeure

7. We will make every effort to fulfil orders within a reasonable time. However, R. M. Jones (Farmcentre) LLP will not be liable for any loss, damage or other consequence of being unable to deliver, or of delays in delivery, caused by anything outside our reasonable control. This includes government action, strikes, lock-outs, accidents, fuel or power shortages, supply shortages, transport delays, breakdown of machinery or plant, fire, frost, and bad weather.

Returned Goods

8. If we agree to accept back or collect goods for credit, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 10% of the value of the goods. Our staff cannot accept returns without prior authorisation from management. Once a special order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled or returned.

Medicines: POM-VPS and NFA-VPS veterinary medicines must, by law, be stored under our supervision. To maintain these standards, we cannot accept these products back once they have left our premises.

Conditions of Supply

9. All goods we supply are of satisfactory quality and suitable for their intended purpose. As we have no control over how products are stored, handled, mixed or used, or over weather conditions before, during or after application, all of which can affect performance, we exclude all conditions and warranties as to quality or fitness for any particular purpose, except where loss results from the direct negligence of R. M. Jones (Farmcentre) LLP. We accept no responsibility for any failure in performance, damage or injury arising from storage, handling, application or use.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded. If you are buying as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
